Commis Chef - Golf Club

Leatherhead - Surrey

Recruiting for a passionate Commis Chef to join this busy kitchen environment within a well-known Surrey Golf Club located near Leatherhead. You will be an ambitious, committed and talented Chef with enthusiasm for great fresh food. You will be working 5/7 days on a 40 hour a week basis all straight shifts

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Form a close bond with your team and the members of the golf club

  • Preparing ingredients & commodities in preparation for cooking
  • Receipt & storage of all provisions, fresh & frozen, in accordance with current food hygiene regulations including stock rotation and storage
  • Ensuring all food is labelled clearly & correctly
  • Checking all menus to ensure foodstuffs have been received and are prepared on time to the required standards
  • Cleaning according to the cleaning schedules
  • To provide assistance in the absence of other section Chef's as instructed by the Head Chef or his Deputy
  • To undertake training as and when required
  • Any other reasonable duties required by the Head Chef

Key Requirements for the Chef:

  • You must worked in the kitchen and have the ability to work under pressure
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Ability to motivate a team
  • A friendly person with good communication and delegation skills
