CNC Milling Setter/Operator
Gloucester
Different shift patterns available
Salary dependent on experience

I am currently recruiting for a CNC Milling Setter/Operator for a well-established Engineering company based out of Gloucester, who specialise within composite and thermoplastic materials within tolerance using precision measuring equipment.

Responsibilities and Duties
As CNC miller you will have the responsibility of:

" Setting up, and operating of CNC controlled VMC machines using appropriate speed/feeds to produce parts correctly to drawing.
" Setting & operating our Haas VF5, VF6 and UMC 750 multi axis machines.
" Accurate measurement using precision measuring equipment.
" Familiar with the all types of cutting tools.
" Continually making attempts to improve productivity and work methods.
" Experienced in cutting a wide range of exotic materials.
" Ensuring relevant documentation is complete.
" Ensuring equipment is maintained in good working order and faults reported immediately.
" Ensuring safety practices are carried out.
" Keeping work areas tidy and free from obstacles.
" Undertake tasks as required by the Production Manager.

Qualifications and Skills
Skills and experience required for this position:
" Strong CNC Milling experience essential.
" Experienced setting/operating of multiple axis machines, Including 5 axis.
" CAD/CAM experience would be very beneficial.
" Capable of reading engineering drawings.
" Ability to work on own initiative, and as part of a team.
" Ability to prioritize work where required.
" Good oral and written communication skills.
" Must be computer literate.
" Must be able to work shift pattern (6am - 2pm, 2pm - 10pm)
