Smile Education are working on behalf of a Birmingham Primary School to assist in the recruitment of cleaning staff from October 2020, or earlier. This three-form entry school situated in North Birmingham currently holds opportunities for experienced and dependable cleaning staff. Our client has made significant improvements within the past few years to the school site. You will be working as part of a small team to complete thorough cleaning throughout the school, paying close attention to touch points in light of the ongoing efforts against COVID-19.
This school is situated within proximity to Handsworth Wood, Perry Barr, Great Barr, Lozells, Aston, Birchfield and Birmingham City Centre. Our client is a large school who have made significant improvements across the site, focusing on providing a comfortable learning environment for its pupils.

We would like applicants to have demonstrative experience in cleaning and sanitising the workplace. Applicants must be reliable as there is an expectation to work independently. Applicants should be punctual and have good organisational skills in order to prioritise their workload effectively. A good eye for detail is also essential to maintain the schools high standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
To be successful in your application, you should have experience in one or more of the following:
- Previous experience of working within a school environment
- COSH training is preferred but not essential
- High standards of cleanliness and hygiene
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS disclosure
- Professional reference checks.
