An extremely successful international law firm, are looking for a Claims Handler (Property and Casualty) to join their team in Central Bristol only a stone's throw from Temple Meads & on all major bus routes.
You will be working Monday - Friday full time hours 09.30 - 5.30 pm & receive a salary circa £25,000 (depending on experience) + amazing benefits.

The role is working as a Claims Handler to join the Bristol Property and Casualty team. The team is part of the firm's Insurance Group, and has a well-established client base, acting for the vast majority of household and commercial property insurers in the market.
The team handles a wide variety of claims arising out of property damage, including, fire, water, subsidence, construction, and impact damage. You will be running a case load of subrogated recovery matters on a behalf of a range of insurers. You will have the opportunity to run a property claim from first instruction, through the pre action stage and into proceedings when necessary; you will need to have familiarity with Civil Procedure Rules.
You will be managing a large caseload of Property Insurance Claims, working with a number of Partners and lawyers within a vibrant and growing team. The work will be varied, interesting and challenging, and there will be the opportunity to work on matters varying in value from £10,000 to millions of pounds.
You will need to have claims handling experience, with relevant property damage experience. You will need to have litigation experience, and experience of Insurance is desirable but not essential.
A good knowledge of legal procedures is required, as is excellent organisational skills, excellent communication skills, ability to adapt to shifting priorities, be able to demonstrate good initiative and problem solving skills. Ability to multi-task and ability to manage upwards. You will need to have excellent IT skills in Microsoft Office and a proactive, results driven nature.
