Job Description

We are currently looking to recruit a number of Children and Families Social Workers and Managers for temporary locum opportunities across Scotland (central belt and remote locations).

Experience

Ideally main grade applicants should have at least 1 years UK post qualifying experience within a statutory social work context and have a proven ability in carrying out initial assessments, IERs and social background reports. Applicants MUST possess a relevant qualification in Social Work e.g. DipSW, CCETSW, Degree or Masters in Social Work.

Managerial candidates should have at least two years' managerial experience in a statutory setting and proven ability to manage change in Children and Families Social Work setting.

Candidates will need to register with one of our Consultants over telephone or teleconferencing (due to coronavirus restrictions we are not meeting candidates in our Edinburgh, Glasgow or Aberdeen offices).

The successful applicant must also have current registration with the Scottish Social Services Council or HCPC (with the agreement to register with the SSSC), and possess a recent PVG Scheme Record through Disclosure Scotland, this can be applied for through our agency. Applicants must be available for a quick start and ideally have their own car due to the nature and localities of some of the post although not essential for all positions available. Assistance with temporary accommodation also available.
