In this role, you will be preparing and cooking lunch and dinner for staff and service users and will also provide guidance and training to your peers.

Your responsibilities will include:
Participate in food purchasing through established procedures and food costings
Maintain good food storage procedures and stock rotation according to established procedures
To serve service users, staff and visitors with food and beverage
Assist with the checking of incoming supplies and putting them away in the designated storage areas
Preparing and producing foods for conferences and banquets
Comply with the provision of the Health and Safety and Welfare Act 1974 and relevant legislation, ensuring the provision and maintenance of a safe environment for all members of the hospital community
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
GCSE or equivalent English
City & Guilds 706/1 and 2 (or equivalent) Basic Food Preparation Cooking
Basic Food Hygiene is desirable
Supervising qualification or working towards
Experience preparing and producing quality food to a high standard
Knowledge of menu planning and costing
