SOUS CHEF – FOOD LED PUB – NEW OPENING -  KINGSTON

£30K- £34K SALARY PACKAGE (basic salary + tronc tips + bonus) Overtime paid


Recruiting for a talented, passionate and creative Sous Chef to join a smart Gastro Pub located in Kingston, this is a new opening and is a part of a small group of 8 independently owned pubs in the Surrey area, each pub since joining the group had been fully refurbished.  


They are all about great food and They serve delicious freshly prepare food with quality, seasonal and well sourced ingredients. The perfect place for a snack, business lunch or dinner with friends. This is a hands on role working across all areas of the kitchen as well as managing in the Head Chef’s absence, it is a modern kitchen with a brigade of around 9 chefs & 3 KPs.



You will be involved in a variety of duties including: Fresh food preparation; managing wage targets; ordering and stock control; developing new dishes; adhering to food safety and cleaning standards; training and developing junior chefs.

 
Main Duties and Responsibilities as a Sous Chef:
-        To ensure the food preparation and presentation meets the required standards
-        To comply with all of the health and safety and food safety legislations
-        To supervise and motivate the team when required
-        To monitor portion control, fresh food and dry store orders

What You Need To Be a Successful Sous Chef:
-         NVQ or City & Guilds Chef qualifications are required
-         Previous experience as a Snr CDP or Sous Chef
-         Ability to work well under pressure
-         Experience working with fresh food desirable
-         Excellent communication skills
