The role
As a Change Controller, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You will be part of an exciting transformation across our project management and project control's function, driving world class project delivery performance.
Day to day, you'll be involved in close collaboration with our internal and external customers and the Central Governance teams to better develop the change philosophy and skill base of our people.
Responsible for identifying and supporting the control over variation (changes) within a projects
Monitoring work specification change requirements, supplied by the customer via Customers design authority requirements
Ensuring that all change control records/reports including modifications, concessions, specification change inquires, change requests etc., are contractually accurate and produced in a timely manner.
Maintaining tracking and control - including the production of associated reports and statistics.
Interrogating reports to identify errors, monitor situation and hasten cost centres to ensure work is are progressing through the various systems to meet agreed key events and milestones.
Essential experience of the Change Controller
Awareness of project planning and execution is desirable (similar industry experience will be considered)
Excellent communication skills
Good organisation skills
Self-motivated & is comfortable with detailed information
On site at Devonport with some hybrid working 1-2 days a week from home.
Qualifications for the Change Controller
You will preferably have ONC level (or equivalent) in an engineering, technical or technology related subject or have relevant transferable engineering background or skills, or experience related to naval vessels/submarines, which will enable you to meet the requirements of the role.
The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance level for this role.
