A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Catering Supervisor to work within busy catering facilities within a local University. You will be an integral part of the kitchen team, reporting directly to the Assistant Chef Manager.
You will be responsible for motivating and supervising your team, ensuring their daily duties are carried out efficiently. You will be required to assist with the cooking on a day to day basis for the restaurant and providing hospitality events, but mainly managing front of house.
You will have experience of working within a fast paced restaurant environment, supervising/managing a large team, communicating with Senior members and deputising in the absence of your manager
You will have knowledge and adhere to all Health & Safety codes of practice and C.O.S.H.H regulations as well as Fire procedures. You will ideally possess NVQ level 1 and 2 in Food preparation or equivalent, level 3 or equivalent is desirable. You will also possess a current Food Hygiene Certificate.
The successful candidate will be conscientious and committed, be able to think on their feet and be able to meet a challenge head on. You will have excellent line management and the ability to get the best out of your team.
This role is mainly Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week – hours are 8am – 5pm.
You will be required to work the occasional weekend for Open Days/Events.
