Catering Assistant -Winchester - Educational Site - £8.64 p/h

The Catering Assistant Role:

A Catering Assistant is required for this prestigious establishment in the centre of Winchester.

The role will involve serving in the restaurant and occasionally assisting with food service at functions.

You will predominantly work daytime hours, but occasional evening work will be required when there is a function.

0700-1500 or 1100-1900, 5/7, 1 to 2 functions per week so finish will be 930/10pm - All overtime paid...

The venue caters for a variety of events and meetings so the job provides great variety. The position is hands on and involves setting up rooms and overseeing the events.

Main Duties and Responsibilities as a Catering Assistant will include:

  • Assist with the preparation and set-up, service and close down of a function space
  • Provide excellent customer service for functions, private events, retail outlets & conferences...
  • Assist with delivered Catering during busy periods
  • Cash up tills, record income
  • Maintaining Health and Hygiene

Candidate Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as Catering Assistant
  • Passionate about hospitality and keen to progress
  • A true people person who can engage with customers
  • Self-motivated with a positive outlook
  • Good understanding of food and retail
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and be adaptable to change
