The CAD / Network Coordinator will support the design teams (mains and services) by providing accurate 2D design drawings via Auto CAD 2019 LT or above. The Technician will be responsible for CAD drawings preparation and support to design teams.
When required CAD / Network Coordinator can be responsible for managing a range of clean water pre development enquiries, analysing any requests for new housing developments to connect our clients' to the water network. You will communicate with customers on a daily basis and you will be expected to manage the relationship from start to finish.

What will this role involve?
Assist the Clean Water Design Teams in producing professional clean water new mains and diversionary design drawings. Working in conjunction with the Technical Consultant and the Lead Designers.
Owning version control of drawings through use of the drawing register, check prints and mater copies. Accurately archive old clean water mains schemes.
Support Design and Asset Development Teams with preparation of Budget Estimate reports and dealing with pre-planning enquiries if necessary.
Manage the interface between Developer Services and other business units to support teams.
Proactively manage Health and Safety in the team ensuring compliance with business and statutory obligations.
What skills are we looking for?
To be successful in this role, you will possess in-depth working knowledge of Auto CAD 2019.
You will need to demonstrate a general understanding of interpreting utility design drawings. You will have the ability to build positive relationships quickly and proven stakeholder engagement. As you will be liaising with a variety of internal stakeholders you will be confident in your subject matter and have strong communication and interpersonal skills and be highly customer focussed.
You will need to have excellent technical and planning skills, possess knowledge of Auto CAD, be PC literate (MS Office) as well as having strong literacy and analytical skills.
Information & Salary
This role is a 6 month maternity cover based in Reading. The hourly rate for the role is £13.31.
