The role

As a Business Support Specialist you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. Babcock Corporate Services (BCS) is a global function, which supplies and operates all IT, Security, Procurement, and Finance Shared Services. We are embedded alongside the operations that we serve, enabling us to maintain close working relationships which support delivery to our customers.

Day to day, you'll provide administrative and business support to a defined group of SLT members based at our Head Office at Wigmore Street on approximately 1:5 subject to relationship basis (as determined by the complexity of the role being supported).

Additional responsibilities:

  • A variety of day-to-day administrative tasks for senior leadership team member including managing an extremely active calendar of appointments; arranging complex and detailed travel plans, itineraries, and agendas; and compiling documents for meetings.
  • Successfully completing critical aspects of activity independently and with a hands-on approach.
  • Prioritising conflicting needs; handling matters expeditiously, proactively, and following-through on projects to successful completion, often with deadline pressures.
  • Maintains discretion and confidentiality in relationships with stakeholders.

Essential experience of the Business Support Specialist

  • Ability to decipher priorities and make sound judgment calls when needed.
  • Commitment to excellence and performing duties at the highest level possible on a consistent basis.
  • Excellent communicator with a proven ability to interact with people of all levels in a confident, professional manner.
  • Experience in business support including managing diaries, arranging travel and itineraries
  • Proven experience, ability, and temperament to work with sensitive information

This is a full time, permanent position based at Wigmore Street London 4 days a week and working from home 1 day a week.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC Clearance security clearance level for this role.
