Position: Business Development Manager
Salary: £50000 to £55000 sales commission structure + car + BUPA
Location: West Midlands
Type of position: Perm
Working hours: 40 hours

We are now seeking Midlands based Business Development Manager for UK wide Fleet Management Company
who would manage the relationship with existing customers based from just below Manchester down to the M4. The
appropriate candidate would will help develop and support the accomplishment of comprehensive, strategic
objectives that promote the growth of sales and profits, consistently demonstrating the value of our business and
services.

Responsibilities:
Secure, close and consolidate business, meeting (as a minimum) sales targets, with respect to leasing products
Generate appointments via telephone, email and / or letter
Develop business opportunities following enquiry or appointment
Research and report writing on all prospects
Secure appointments and travel or utilise online presentation software to present to prospective clients, with effective
use of work time being carefully considered
Work in conjunction with Sales, Sales Support, and Marketing and Client Relations teams to create and develop sales
strategies to maximise revenue from target markets
Clearly communicate at all levels, working with all departments to identify revenue opportunities
Professionally present business services and products, acting at all times as an ambassador for the Company. This
includes attending business events and conferences as required to exhibit and present to business
Clean and research database with a high attention to detail using Contact Management System
Produce comprehensive proposals and presentations and deliver to prospects in a timely manner
Complete all relevant paperwork to the expected high standards
Working closely with the Account Manager's, manage opportunities for additional business through the existing
customer base
Maintain electronic diaries and activity databases
Support all Sales, Sales Support, Marketing and Client Relations initiatives as required
Ad hoc tasks as required by the business


Requirements:
Proven success in high level and high volume service (not product) selling
Knowledge of the UK fleet management industry is a strong advantage
Knowledge of legislations governing fleet vehicles and their drivers, insurance and licensing
Excellent written skills with the proven ability to produce client facing documents where required
Must be adept in the use of a PC, internet and email and able to grasp new software applications easily and quickly. Able to use Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook to an intermediate level
Be prepared to go the 'extra mile' in order to achieve excellent end results
