Endsleigh Independent Schools division is responsible for creating bespoke insurance products that are distributed to Independent Schools, their pupils, fee payers and staff. The successful candidate will be responsible for the distribution of these products across a given region through the development of new partnerships.
As the Business Development Manager you will take responsibility for prospecting and securing new Independent School partnerships ensuring successful on-boarding and delivering quality leads to other parts of Endsleigh.
Within the role you will proactively manage and develop relationships with prospective business partners and develop a name for yourself within your area. As an expert in this industry, you will ensure our partners distribute insurance in a compliant and customer-centric way.
A key element of this role is target-driven and you will have full accountability for individual income, pipeline and activity targets from new and existing partners.
Other key accountabilities will include:
Making presentations to outside commercial organisations and attending new business meetings with partners.
Attending relevant key conferences to generate new leads
Successfully developing and managing a pipeline of leads and opportunities through Salesforce CRM to ensure activity levels meet income requirements.
Working with marketing to develop campaign plans to increase enquiry.
Identifying opportunities for leads to other areas of B2B, provide introductions and support cross-sell process
Working alongside Account Executives to ensure smooth handover of accounts from new business to existing business teams.
Providing unrivalled service to both our independent school partners and their pupils/fee payers.
We are looking for a self-sufficient and pro-active individual with a strong commercial acumen and customer focus. The successful candidate will be performance focused with proven sales and relationship management experience within the education sector.
You should have the ability to identify and develop new business opportunities whilst building strong relationships with key stakeholders, acting with honesty and integrity at all times.
A successful candidate must have;
A valid UK driving licence
Previous sales or account management experience
Excellent communication and presentation skills, both orally and visually
Ability to exceed individual targets and deadlines as defined by the business plan
The ability to manage own diary and workload effectively
Confident in communicating effectively at all levels
Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills
Ability to spot and identify opportunities for cross-selling
