Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Business Development/Account Manager to work on a permanent basis for our client, a market leading national vehicle fleet management company. This position will be based at their Thetford depot.

*Responsible for overseeing and effectively managing a portfolio of key Regional and potentially National Accounts, to maintain and increase levels of customer spend and to enhance the service level of customer support and customer experience

Essential Skills include
*To develop, maintain and support growth of any newly opened accounts within your defined area, including the reopening of dormant accounts
*To carry out meetings with all allocated key customers on a regular basis, as agreed with the customer and also in line with the Group Contract Relations Manager (GCRM) expectations and 'visit matrix'.
*To actively promote the full Product Range with focus on defined and/or underutilised vehicle categories
*To secure additional short, medium and long term rental business with your allocated key customers
*To work closely, day-to-day with your colleagues in Operations, Customer Support, Credit Control, Replacements, Pricing and Recharge Departments
*Support the Tenders team with opportunities pertaining to your nominated key customers and also with any new opportunities within your defined area.
*To make sure that any quote/tender deadlines are met - and then followed up
*To ensure that all company policies are adhered to at all times

Applicants must be able to demonstrate:
*Previous experience in a similar Sales/Rental management role, at Management or Senior Manager level, with demonstrable experience within the rental or transport industry
*Business standard IT skills, incl Microsoft Outlook. Office and Excel. Experience of the Ker-ridge system would also be an advantage
*Should be a well organised individual with excellent time management and prioritisation skills
*An above average level of vehicle product knowledge
*Desire for continuous personal development
