Internal Business Development Executive

Job Purpose of the Business Development Executive:

·This roles main focus will be on generating new business through a number of different activities. This role will support the growth of the business and work within a friendly and professional Contact Centre team.

Duties & Responsibilities

New Business Generation:
·Contact leads with an end goal of securing appointments for the external sales team.
·Contact lapsed accounts with the sole purpose of reigniting business relationships.
·Proactively up-sell when customers placing orders to increase revenue.
·Ability to sell over the phone to include new business/lapsed business.
·Follow up on previous enquiries that continue to lay dormant.
·To assist with specific marketing campaigns and strategies – to include follow up calls.
·Be proactive and where possible offer product alternatives or additional products to customers.
·Processing of quotations on all orders types, ensuring any stock shortages are communicated – all quotations are to be followed up in a timely manner.
·Organise workload to meet company and customer timeframes.
·Ensure accurate records are created of customer interactions and transactions are saved on Salesforce and maintain the standard of all records.
·Meet the targeted outbound call time requirement.
·Working to achieve personal, team and business targets and objectives.
·Processing of credit card payments as required in line with Data Protection Act

Customer Services:
·Assist the customer contact department in dealing with all customer enquiries and wherever necessary, handling and resolving customer complaints in a timely manner.
·To fully understand and work to the company’s ISO 9002, Health & Safety Policy and Procedures and be aware of the Employee Handbook guidelines, ensuring each procedure is acknowledged and carried out to its requirements.

Previous Experience:
·Must have had previous experience within B2B role. Full product training on products and services will be given.
·Excellent communication skills are a must together with a professional telephone manner.
·Comfortable working on the phone following up leads to generate new business and resurrect lapse accounts.
·Strong IT skills are required, together with the ability to work as part of a team.
·Possess strong customer skills with the ability to build relationships with customers and internal departments ensuring open lines of communication at all times. 
·Self-motivated and have an ability to work with minimal supervision to achieve tasks in allocated time scales.
·Motivated by the thrill of generating new business and being rewarded accordingly.

Salary & Benefits:

·Up to £20,000 pa depending on experience plus £10K bonus split quarterly and subject to targets being achieved
