Smart Teachers is currently recruiting for an Exams and Data Assistant for a co-educational secondary school and sixth form in the London Borough of Lewisham. This Exams and Data Assistant position is required for an ASAP start and the successful candidate will be required to work full time.

British Sign Language Communication Support Worker
27.5 hours per week, term time only + 1 week for INSET (39 weeks)
£80 to £110 per day (PAYE)

Smart Teachers is looking to recruit an Exams and Data Assistant who will:

Provide communication support throughout the school day to enable full access to the curriculum and extra-curricular activities e.g. lessons, assemblies, parents evenings, school visits and other school events
Liaise with Lead Teacher of the Deaf and mainstream teachers in order to maintain a comprehensive level of support
Promote students’ independence skills in communication, learning and social skills with the school setting
Promote inclusion of deaf students within the mainstream classes
Read through lesson plans and liaise with mainstream teachers in advance to ensure understanding of content, teaching objectives and find out required BSL signs
Must have solid understanding and training of BSL (British Sign Language)
