Job Description

We are looking for a full time Behaviour Support/PBS practitioner which focuses on challenging behaviour in the North and Midlands region. This role sits within the adult Quality Team/ Quality Improvement Team at CareTech. The role is remote however, it will involve travel and therefore, a driver would be essential.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
* Reporting to the Behaviour Consultant
* Delivery of approved MAYBO/ PBS training to targeted staff teams
* Support to staff teams to implement of PBS documentation
* Support and monitoring of behaviour monitoring
* Analysis of data and PBS production/ Check on consistency of approaches and advising teams when inconsistency is evident
* Produce and update Personal Safety Plans
* Ensure that support teams are focused on enhancing the quality of life of service users supported promoting personal skill development and reducing/ eliminating the use of restrictive practices.
* Report where interventions are not working, work with the BC to change PBS plans/ PSP
* Support the implementation of culture change strategies as recommended by Behaviour Consultant
* Respond to crisis situations in which a person is posing a risk to self or others- Risk of placement breakdown/ hospital admission.
* Complete regular visits to services to follow up interventions before sign off.
* Support for services in crisis
* MDT Participation and support
* Safeguarding investigation support
* Consult with the Consultant psychologist on all aspects of clinical work
The successful candidate will have:
* Experience of working with LD/MH client group
* Experience of working with Challenging behaviour client group
* PBS qualification
* PBS plan development and implementation
* MAYBO trainer or similar Qualification (Training to convert skills available)
* Service management/ leadership confidence/ experience
* Can maintain own diary within a team
* Flexibility
