Behaviour Support Assistant - County Durham (North)
Do you have experience working with challenging behaviour in young people? Do you have a passion for supporting the social and emotional growth of children? Do you have the skills to support young people following the impact of COVID-19 on their mental health and behaviour?

Protocol Education is a leading education recruitment company; we help support assistants find work in secondary schools including those looking for work as Behaviour Support and SEMH Teaching Assistants.
We are currently recruiting for a number of roles in the the northern area of county Durham.

You will be responsible for supporting children on a 1:1 and small group basis; you may be required to run intervention activities and report to staff members on pupils ongoing needs and progress both academically and socially. You will also be managing challenging behaviour in the classroom.

Person Specification
• Exhibit patience and compassion
• Be supportive, kind and nurturing.
• Experience of working with challenging behaviour (either with children or adult).
• Must be able to support whilst maintaining authority in your role.
