£63.50 to £70.00 Daily
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are 6 weeks experience in a school, experience working as a Teaching Assistant or within a SEND environment. We only pay P.A.Y.E, we do not work with umbrella companies.
Vision for Education is looking to appoint a behaviour support assistant to join our successful supply team and work in a local Special Needs schools in Darlington. This is a temporary role looking to start as soon as possible.
Working as part of an energetic and creative team, the successful Behaviour Support Assistant will focus on delivering support to a small class of students who have ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) and SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) difficulties working 08:30 – 16:30 Monday to Friday.
The successful candidate will ideally have Team Teach Training however this is not essential. If applicants are successful there is an opportunity for you to attend the Team Teach training course that Vision for Education provides.
To be considered for the Behaviour Support Worker Assistant, you will:
Have experience supporting young people with ASD and SEMH
Be able to work between the hours of 8:30 until 16:30.
Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of practitioners who all pull together to inspire the students, in what can be a very demanding and challenging environment.
Have a DBS on the Update Service or, willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
