Behaviour Support Assistant


We are looking for candidates with experience starting September 2022

£350.00 - £375.00 (per week dependant on experience)

Vision are flexible on start date around candidate availability

This role is based within a school setting

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position is a minimum of 3 months relevant experience working with children, young people or adults.

Contract start date: September 2022

Vision for Education is seeking an experienced Behaviour Support Assistant to support students at a specialist school in Chapel-en-le-Frith. The school requires mentors with experience working with disengaged students.

The role
As a passionate Behaviour Support assistant, you will be working on a full time basis with students who are disengaged from education and may have been permanently or temporarily excluded from their mainstream setting. You will be expected to support small groups or on a 1:1 basis, aiming to overcome learning barriers through engaging lessons and a supportive approach.

This school specialises in the education of young people who are disengaged from education for a variety of reasons.

To be considered for the role of Behaviour Support Assistant, you will:

Have previous experience working with children with a range of abilities and maybe some special education needs
Have strong communications skills with the ability to quickly built rapport with students.
Be able to work as part of a team and be confident dealing with occasional behavioural challenges.
Be available on a full time basis from September 2022
Have own vehicle with business insurance – travel to alternative provision and students homes may be required as part of this role
