Job Description

ABC Teachers are seeking Behaviour Support Assistants to work within a Special Educational Needs School in Birmingham. This role takes bravery, patience, and commitment. You might not have lots of experience yet, but if you share our values and are willing to make a difference to the lives of people we support, we'd love to hear from you.

About the role:

Working with groups of primary and secondary aged students in non-mainstream education.
Deliver support and help where needed either 1-1 or a small group setting.
You will be under the instruction of the class teacher but have to work on your own initiative too.
Ideal for people seeking flexible work on a longer term basis.

About you:

To be considered for the position, you will:

Have previous experience working with children with a range of abilities and maybe some special education needs.
Have strong communications skills with the ability to quickly build rapport with students.
Suitable qualifications such as Youth Work, Health and Social Care or Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools are desired but not essential.
Able to obtain suitable references and a DBS check.
