Behaviour Mentor

This local Alternative Provision are looking for a behaviour mentor to work closely with students that have been excluded from mainstream school. You will be working on a 1-2-1 and small group basis with the aim to improve classroom behaviour. This is an opportunity for someone who has worked with challenging behaviour to make an impact within a school setting.

The team of qualified teachers and experienced support staff are excellent at what they do, and the school is looking for someone who is able to maintain the high standards that have been set. If you have worked with challenging behaviour in either a school or residential setting, this role may be ideal for you.

Job Role:
  • Providing 1-2-1 behaviour support
  • Planning and delivering rewards
  • Engaging with students
  • Supporting classroom behaviour
  • Helping students to overcome barriers to education
Ideally, you will:
  • Have experience working with challenging behaviour
  • Be calm, empathetic and extremely patient
  • Have the ability to build rapport quickly
  • Be able to think outside the box and be creative
