As a Support Worker within Gray Healthcare you will join a specialist team supporting an individual within their own home. We support people with complex needs, who may have a Learning Disability, Autism, Personality Disorder, Acquired Brain Injury (ABI), Substance Misuse issues, and people whom require support with their Mental Health.
You will be an instrumental part of the team and will receive outstanding clinical support, leadership and person-centred training. In this role you will support an individual to develop or regain life skills, assisting participation in community life by building strong and trusting working relationships.
Job IntroductionI am a 52 year old gentleman with an ABI, Autism and Learning Disabilities. I live in my own bungalow and I am looking for male Support Workers who can help me to reach my potential in life.
Watching football is my passion and I go to all the matches in my mobility car on a weekend. I am also well known in the local community and enjoy going for walks and to the local shops.
I will need your support to help keep me safe and empower me to work towards my goals. I would like to be supported by people who are person -centred in their approaches, who are also motivating, patient and non-judgemental.
Main ResponsibilitiesAs a Bank Support Worker, you will be key in supporting adults with complex needs within their own home and within the community. We are looking for positive, compassionate, and caring support workers who have the right values and attitude to grow and develop with Gray healthcare. We are looking for support workers who are looking for the flexibility to choose their shifts and would like to join our skilled pool of bank workers.
The Ideal CandidateWhat are we looking for?
We are looking for candidates who share our values, understand the importance of a consistent and empathetic approach, whilst staying calm and professional when presented with a pressurised situation. You need to be a team player with effective communication skills, be experienced in using digital records and care plans, and electronic rostering systems.
You will need to possess an NVQ/QCF Level 3 or equivalent or be willing to work towards. You will be motivated and have a can-do attitude, and work within a Positive Behaviour Support Framework.
Must be willing to be part of a backup rota.
