As our Automation QA Specialist, you will be accountable for test automation across all applications, the Automation QA Specialist will create and maintain the Test Automation Strategy and Approach, and ensure quality measures are achieved consistently throughout the delivery lifecycle. You will support the Automation QA’s and ensure that the right skills and capacity are available to achieve the IT and Portfolio Goals.

What you’ll be doing as our Automation QA Specialist:

Creating and maintaining the Strategy, Architecture and Approach for test automation

Being accountable for automation standards, maintenance and best practices

Providing consistent status reports and communicating to Senior Management and project team

Providing guidance to customers and colleagues on automation testing to ensure consistency and best practice

Mentoring and upskilling of automation testers

Building and maintaining strong relationships with both the Business and within IT

Maintaining strong knowledge of all systems and their interactions in an integrated environment

Taking responsibility for leading POCs for tools in the automation space, progressing through committees as required to gain approval

Implementing new, and maintaining existing processes

Working with the wider development team to ensure testing is aligned with new processes

Taking responsibility for the test automation community of practice and test surgery

What we’re looking for in our Automation QA Specialist:

Educated to at least A-Level

ISEB/ISTQB Foundation Certificate in Software Testing

An analytical mindset and the ability to see the bigger picture

A critical thinker with confidence in effective questioning

Excellent understanding of testing approaches and methodologies

Test Tools: qTest, SQL query, Jira Selenium and E-ray

Experience in test analysis, execution and automation throughout the test cycle

Extensive knowledge and experience in Information Technology Solutions with a high degree of business appreciation

Experience in testing within both AGILE and V-Model development environments

The ability to continuously improve and shape the testing approach to suit the Testing function
