Job Title: Assistant Machine Setter
Location: Warrington, Cheshire (WA4 6PS)
Salary: £22,800- £24,000 (Inclusive of Shift allowance)
Contract Type: Permanent/ Full time
Hours: 3 shift rotating pattern (6-2pm/ 2-10pm/ 10-6am)
Sector: Engineering/Manufacturing

About Company
A Cheshire based company who play a major part in steel industry working on large international projects is seeking a Machine Setter/Shaper based in Warrington, Cheshire to join its expanding team. The purpose of this role is to set the conditions of the machines to run efficiently in line with customer specifications within shaping operations.

As the Assistant Machine Setter your duties will be to:
" Ensure the compliance of all Health & Safety procedures are adhered to at all times.
" Ensure fully conversant and uphold all training on operating equipment.
" Able to load and unload and set machine.
" Quality checking of products.
" Assist in identifying the root cause of any quality issues and assist in correcting them.
" Maintain comprehensive records of actions.
" Monitor the overall machine and raise any deviation to the standard or normal condition.
" Responsible for routine inspections including bit not exclusive crane, E-stop and slings.

To be a successful Assistant Machine Setter you will have the following skills and experience:
" Ability to demonstrate good technical skills.
" Successful candidates must be educated to a GCSE Level in both Maths and English (grade C or above) or equivalent.
" Previous experience working within a manufacturing / engineering environment.
" Good problem solving skills and willingness to implement corrective actions.
" Must have good attention to detail skills.
" Able to work well as a team.

The starting salary for this role would be £22,800 (inclusive of 20% shift allowance) whilst on training. This would then increase to £24,000 (inclusive of shift allowance) once fully trained.
