The Assistant Buyer role is based within our LGE business area
At our site in Rosyth, we aim to deliver engineering-led and world-leading products and services across our engineering, specialised manufacturing, gas handling systems and naval marine businesses
The difference our new Assistant Buyer will make
As a Assistant Buyer you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. Actively supporting the company's Health, Safety, Environmental, Code of Conduct, Quality and other policies and procedures.
Day to day, you'll establish and maintain a good working relationship with stakeholders as necessary to achieve business, functional and personal objectives, performance of all tasks, process, system, and administration duties related to sourcing, procurement and logistics activities, within your capabilities, for approval by the Buyer including:
Establishing scope of supply
Requests for quotation / tender evaluation and summary
Expediting purchase order deliverables
Management of Purchase Orders and Purchase Order acknowledgements

Working knowledge of Microsoft software, particularly Word and Excel.
Experience within a Procurement environment
Experience with procurement/buying process
The ability to demonstrate excellent attention to detail.
Organised, approachable and pro-active with good initiative.
Can work well on their own or as part of a team.
Works well under pressure in accordance with demanding deadlines.
Good problem-solving ability.
Confident communicator with a good telephone manner
