Architectural Technician, Sutton Coldfield, £26-30K

A driven and committed Architectural Technician is required for a well-established Architectural practice in Sutton Coldfield. The firm works extensively within the residential sector across a range of projects including, private and affordable housing, elderly accommodation and extra care facilities, with the majority of their work ranging from £3-10mil.

This RIBA Chartered practice is looking for an Architectural Technician with strong technical and 3D visualisation skills. The firm is committed to BIM level 2 compliance with all of their projects, and is mainly using ArchiCAD (BIM) within practice. The ideal candidate would be someone with solid BIM knowledge and strong 3D abilities. Training in ArchiCAD can be provided for the right candidate.

Architectural Technician: The Role
  • Attending meetings and liaising Clients to understand their business goals create strong relationships
  • Working towards the latest building regulations and technical standards
  • Preparation of detailed drawings, layouts, sketches and graphic representations
  • Ability to work in a self-led manner and manage own workload is essential
  • Using Revit to create visualisations
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team
  • Liaising with multiple, different contractors and working professional
Architectural Technician: The Candidate
  • Relevant qualification in Architectural Technology or the built Environment
  • Previous experience using ArchiCAD would be advantageous
  • Strong design and technical skills 
  • Prior experience working on large scale residential sectors
  • Knowledge of UK Planning policies and building regulations
