The role

As a Apprenticeship Coach, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. Supporting Trainee Fire Fighters through apprenticeship programme and delivery of Functional Skills

Day to day, you'll review apprentices as per contractual requirements. Monitor and record progression towards achievement and give feedback to apprentice and their manager/mentor. To establish regular direct contact with station-based stakeholders. To have in-person case reviews with station-based stakeholders. Feedback to station-based stakeholders on apprentices' opportunity to develop. To be present at all training venues at Park Royal, Harrow and Plaistow.
Delivering and facilitating learning to support the completion of required Functional Skills at level
including testing to achieve the standards required by the awarding organisations
One to one and group delivery for on demand workshops for maths and English
Create and maintain an efficient work plan practising effective time management and cost effectiveness
Travelling to fire stations and training venues across the whole LFB area for apprenticeship reviews
Support and record progress of apprentices at regular reviews.

Essential experience of the Apprenticeship Coach,
Experience of working within education

Qualifications for the Apprenticeship Coach,
Functional Skills level 2 maths and English or equivalent
Level 3 Award in Education and Training - or equivalent (desirable)

The successful candidate must be able to achieve BPSS security clearance level for this role.
