Apprenticeships Level 6 Analysis, Modelling & Simulation (AMS) 2021 Job Type(s): Level 6 Apprenticeship Location(s): England: Lincoln Salary: Competitive + benefits + bonus incentives Start date: September 2021 Job description: In Analysis, Modelling and Simulation our role is to ensure our customers get the most out their data. Our aims are to ensure: that starting data is of the highest quality; that it is quickly and efficiently processed into clear, meaningful information; that we extract deeper insight from it; and that we provide robust, data-led advice to our customers, and take sound, evidence-based actions. Our work is an exciting blend of maths, physics, engineering, computer science and IT. We are at the cutting edge for designing and applying tools, software and automation techniques that enable the rapid and timely transfer of relevant data and information. Sites & roles: Lincoln We have established teams working in Lincoln with direct connections to other experts in places like Malvern, Farnborough and Portsmouth. Additionally, we have dedicated teams who are embedded with the customer at RAF Coningsby, RAF Marham and RAF Waddington. These teams support the UK Ministry of Defence, in particular the Royal Air Force, in the processing, assimilation, analysis and fusion of so-called Mission Data. Who we want: We are looking for numerate, IT-literate people, with strong analytical skills. You need to be a quick-learner, enthusiastic and motivated to apply fundamental scientific and mathematical techniques to real-word problems. You need to be organised, but have the ability to conceive and create innovative solutions to solve those problems. You will combine challenging work with our Lincoln teams, supported and mentored by our experts, with study at Lincoln University, leading to a degree in Engineering. Required: Achieved or on track to achieve: A minimum of 3 A Levels (or equivalent) to at least Grade C and including one or more from Maths, Physics, Computer Science. GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and Physics or Dual Award Science to at least Grade 5, and English to Grade 4 or above. *Entry grade requirements may vary due to course provider requirements* Security notice: Please be aware that this role is subject to both security and export control restrictions.
