We are looking to recruit an effective, organised and driven Administrator to work alongside the Clinical and Nursing team to support the growth of the department.
This post is a 3 month trial position which is why we are looking for someone who desires a challenge and is motivated when it comes to identifying and implementing processes that will implement positive change.
Currently the clerical workload on AMIA is being shared between the Clinical staff and Nursing staff. Clerical activity involves tasks to support the Medical teams such as; chasing and processing diagnostic results, supporting timely reporting of discharge summaries, typing patient correspondence letters.
This role will suit a person with an outgoing personality who can work in a team and also on their own initiative. It would be desirable to have RSA level 3 or equivalent audio/copy typing (60wpm minimum) plus well-developed communication, organisational and time management skills. An ability to prioritise effectively in a busy environment is essential.
You must be computer literate with a good previous history of Administrative work within a hospital environment. Being proficient in the use of Microsoft Office including Outlook & Internet Explorer would be required. Experience in the use of Crescendo digital dictation and Infoflex would be an advantage, as would a qualification in AMSPAR for medical secretaries.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week to be worked Monday to Friday
