An interesting position has become available for an experienced Administrator to work in fast paced Accounts Team within a well established company who are viewed as being global leaders in their field on a 6 month contract shift basis.
The shift timings are as follows:
12:30am till 9am (Mon till Thurs), Friday TBC
3:30pm till 1am (Mon till Thurs), Friday TBC
As Administrator you will be working within the Finance Department, the primary function of your role will be to support the import of component parts into the UK for use in the company's production areas. You will be dealing with customs agents, shipping lines/freight forwarders as well as the company internal logistics team on a daily basis. Strong communication skills are essential and you will need to be highly organised.
*Issue import clearance instructions to clearance agents
*Collate export information, compile and distribute as necessary to carriers
*Ensure customs declarations are accurate and submitted as per HMRC schedule and responses actioned as necessary
*Check all relevant documents are received, filed and archived in accordance with HMRC guideline
*Manage duty relief procedures ensuring full compliance within HMRC guidelines
To be considered for the position you must have:
*A knowledge of customs procedures is desirable
*Previous administration experience
*Good telephone manner and the ability to liaise with external and internal stakeholders at all levels
*Highly organised and the ability to prioritise workloads
*Strong written and verbal communication skills
*Self motivated and ability to work autonomously
*Methodical and flexible approach to work
*Good analytical skills with attention to detail
*Computer literate (Microsoft Applications)
