Job Description

Working in collaboration with some great organisations such as Bristol Water, NHS and the Universities of Bristol and Bath, our client prides itself in keeping up a reputation for reliability and quality by offering a complete engineering solution.

We are looking for an Accounts Administration Assistant to join the small team, with the opportunity to get involved in working with a number of different environments, including airports, hotels and retail. This opportunity will be varied and will suit an individual with previous finance experience and looking to gain more responsibility in a role that will develop them further.

• Use of Sage for day to day management of the Sales and Purchase Ledgers
• Ad hoc data entry
• Management of the tender register, ensuring acknowledgement of all new tenders and supplying clients with appropriate contact and reference
• Reception duties, including answering the telephone promptly and courteously, and managing messages effectively
• Dealing with incoming and outgoing letters
• General office duties, including typing, filing, faxing and emailing
• Assisting with HR, H&S and quality systems
• Managing materials document from suppliers
• Managing stationery, franking machine and other routine subscriptions
• Typing and sending quotes to clients

Personal Specification:

• Preferably studying AAT
• Cost and Profit focused
• Keen to develop and learn new skills
• Professional and punctual
• Excellent relationship and interpersonal skills
• Team player
• Able to work to deadlines
• Good IT skills, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Sage Accounting
