Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and confident individual to join the sales team as an Account Manager for a well-established, family run business within the oil and gas distribution industry. This role involves building relationships with an existing client base. You will have the chance to travel internationally (Thailand, Singapore, Europe) attending business exhibitions and supporting client contracts. This role is based at the original site where the company began in 1983. This is now the export hub for the business.

Main duties of an Account Manager:
• This role involves emailing existing clients to discuss their requirements and product support
• Reactive sales and answering any questions and queried from clients
• Building and maintaining relationships with clients and visiting them as and when needed
• Negation contracts over email
• Quoting and pricing products
• Processing orders
• After the probation period, you will be responsible for your own client base – additional language skill would be beneficial ( For example: French, German, Spanish, African )

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following skills to become an Account Manager:
• Must be analytical with information from the client
• Experience with Account Management would be beneficial
• Need to be self-sufficient and have good decision making skills
• Effective communication, written and verbal
• Have a positive, can do attitude
• Have fast reaction times to client needs
• Computer literate – All Microsoft packages including outlook
• An engineering degree would be beneficial but not essential
• Experience with the oil and gas industry would be beneficial
• Additional languages, both verbal and written would be a great advantage

Any successful candidates will be requires to attend a 2 week induction at their other site where you will learn all product lines in the warehouse.
