Job Description

Our innovative client based in Angel is seeking an 2nd Line Service Desk Analyst / Field Engineer to join their growing organisation. Working across a manageable number of clients you will work onsite dealing with technical queries, assessing IT problems, diagnosing cause of problem, keeping the client updated all the way through the process through to resolution, escalating complex & recurring issues to senior team as well as working on the organisations busy Service Desk dealing with client network & infrastructure issues.

Please note that owing to company growth my client will be seeking several new recruits to join their service desk team throughout the coming year.

You will assist in project implementation, providing knowledge and technical support to the clients, building new hardware and installing software / applications to meet client needs. You will have server / networking experience and knowledge, and will have strong troubleshooting skills.

You will spend 50% of your time at client sites and 50% in house working on the company service desk based in Angel.

To be considered for this 2nd Line Service Desk Analyst / Field Engineer position, you will be university degree educated in an IT related discipline within the last 5 years, will be experienced for 2-3 years in an infrastructure 2nd line IT support role following the completion of your degree and will have knowledge and experience in MS Office, Active Directory, PC installation and setting up of mobile devices. You will ideally have studied or be studying for MCSE / MCSA certifications and also willing to further study to meet the needs of your role and the organisations.

It is essential that you have excellent verbal and written communication skills and and have experience of working within an ITIL environment. You will thrive on working under pressure and to deadlines.

Own transport and full driving licence is required as you will be travelling on occasions to clients outside of London. Although consideration will be given to those that hold a full driving licence but that can access all clients by tube / train.
